Description

COVID-19 Test is used for detection of COVID-19 virus. Nasal and throat swab is collected and transported on Viral Transport medium (VTM). Real time PCR based test is used for qualitative detection of COVID-19, as recommended by ICMR. Detection is based on the amplification of specific RNA sequence of coronavirus. Patients complaining of symptoms like fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties should consider taking COVID-19 Test. In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome and kidney failure.
